Events are the core of SalesCal - they represent the appointment types that prospects can book with you.
Navigate to Events in the sidebar
Click Create Event
Fill in the required fields:
Event Name: A clear, descriptive name (e.g., "30-Minute Discovery Call")
Duration: How long the meeting will last
Description: A brief explanation shown to prospects
Setting | Description |
Name | The title displayed on your booking page |
Slug | URL-friendly identifier (auto-generated from name) |
Duration | Meeting length in minutes (15, 30, 45, 60, etc.) |
Description | Shown to prospects on the booking page |
Control when prospects can book:
Setting | Description | Example |
Minimum Notice | Earliest a prospect can book | 2 hours (can't book within 2 hours of now) |
Maximum Advance | Furthest into the future | 30 days (can't book more than 30 days out) |
Choose how meetings will be conducted:
Location Type | Description |
Google Meet | Automatic meeting link (requires Google Calendar connection) |
Zoom | Automatic Zoom meeting (requires Zoom connection) |
Phone | You'll call the prospect at their provided number |
Custom | Specify your own meeting instructions |
Each event has a unique booking URL:
https://yourdomain.com/book/[user-id]/[event-slug]
Example: https://app.salescal.com/book/abc123/discovery-call
For team events, the URL structure is:
https://yourdomain.com/b/[company-slug]/[event-slug]
To create a similar event quickly:
Go to the event you want to duplicate
Click the ... menu
Select Duplicate
Modify the name and settings as needed
Save the new event
To remove an event from active use without deleting it:
Go to the event details
Click Archive Event
The event will no longer accept bookings but historical data is preserved
To restore an archived event, find it in the archived events section and click Restore.
Warning: Deleting an event is permanent and cannot be undone.
Go to the event details
Click Delete Event
Confirm the deletion
Note: Existing meetings and leads associated with the event will be preserved but the booking link will stop working.
Be specific: "30-Min Strategy Call" vs. "Call"
Include duration if you have multiple similar events
Use action words: "Discovery Session", "Product Demo"
Keep it brief (2-3 sentences)
Explain what the prospect will get from the call
Set expectations about who should book
Discovery calls: 15-30 minutes
Strategy sessions: 45-60 minutes
Demos: 30-45 minutes
Consultations: 60+ minutes
