Calendar sync runs in both directions. Problems usually fall into one of those two directions, so start by working out which one you have.
SalesCal isn't seeing my existing events. Slots are being offered at times you're actually busy, so you get double booked.
Bookings aren't appearing on my calendar. Meetings show in SalesCal but never reach Google or Outlook.
Both usually share the same root cause: the connection has dropped.
Go to Integrations and look at your calendar connection. If it shows as disconnected or shows a reconnect prompt, reconnect it. That resolves most cases on its own.
Connections drop for ordinary reasons:
You changed your Google or Microsoft password
An administrator revoked third-party app access
Access wasn't used for an extended period and the provider expired it
You removed SalesCal from your account's connected apps
There's no way to tell from inside SalesCal which of these happened. Reconnecting fixes all of them.
If you have several calendars in one account, SalesCal only checks the ones you've selected. A busy event on a calendar that isn't selected won't block anything.
Open Integrations, then your calendar connection, and confirm every calendar you want respected is ticked.
This catches people who keep personal commitments on a separate calendar and expect them to block work bookings.
Some calendar entries are ignored on purpose. If a slot is offered when you expected it to be blocked, check whether the entry is one of these:
An all-day Working Location entry
An event marked Free rather than Busy
A birthday
An invitation you've declined
These are ignored because treating them as busy wipes out availability for people who use them normally. If you need one of these to block time, change it to a normal busy event.
If the connection is healthy and bookings still aren't appearing:
Check the meeting exists in Meetings in your dashboard. If it's not there, the booking itself didn't complete, which is a different problem.
Check whether the meeting landed on a different calendar than the one you're looking at.
Check whether you have a rule or filter in Google or Outlook that moves or hides invitations.
Microsoft rotates its access credentials on a schedule. SalesCal handles this automatically, but if a rotation is interrupted the connection can fail in a way that only reconnecting resolves. If Outlook has been fine for weeks and stops suddenly with no other change, reconnect before investigating anything else.
Get in touch with the specific date and time that's wrong and what you expected to see. Include whether you're on Google or Outlook. We can look at what SalesCal received from your calendar provider for that day, which usually settles it quickly.
