Publishing and sharing a page

Publishing a SalesPad, its URL, previewing before you go live, and what gets tracked.

Previewing before you publish

Every page has a preview URL that works whether or not it's published. Use it to check the page as a visitor sees it, especially on a phone.

Preview it before publishing anything you're sending traffic to. The editor canvas is close to the real thing but not identical, and mobile is where layout problems show up.

Publishing

  1. Click Publish Page in the editor

  2. Set the URL slug

  3. Confirm

The page goes live immediately at its public address.

Your page URL

Published pages are served from your team's subdomain:

https://your-team.salescal.site/your-page

The first part is your team slug, fixed for your account. The last part is the page slug you set when publishing.

Slugs must be unique across your team. If you pick one that's taken you'll see:

This URL is already in use by another page

Keep slugs short, readable, and stable. They appear in ads, emails, and anywhere else the link gets pasted.

Choosing your homepage

If you publish two or more pages, decide which one visitors land on at your site's bare address:

https://your-team.salescal.site

Pick one from the Homepage dropdown in the SalesPads page header.

With exactly one published page, that page serves at the root automatically and there's nothing to configure. The dropdown only appears once you have a second published page to choose from.

Select None (automatic) to hand it back to that same automatic behavior.

If you later unpublish the page you'd set as your homepage, your site's root doesn't break. It falls back on its own rather than pointing at a missing page.

Changing the slug later

You can change it, but the old URL stops working immediately. Anything already pointing at it breaks: live ads, sent emails, printed material, links from other sites.

If a page has traffic, treat its slug as permanent.

Updating a published page

Editing a live page doesn't change what visitors see. Your edits are saved as you work, but the live page keeps serving the last published version until you publish again.

That's deliberate. You can rework a live page over several sessions without visitors seeing it half-finished.

What gets tracked

Each page records:

  • Page views — total loads

  • Unique visits — distinct visitors

  • Booking started — a visitor began the booking form

  • Booking completed — a booking was made

The gap between these numbers is the useful part. Plenty of views and few booking starts means the page isn't persuading. Plenty of starts and few completions means the form is losing people, usually because it's too long or availability is too thin.

Tracking integrations

If you use Meta Pixel, Google Tag Manager, or Hyros, SalesPad views and bookings feed into them alongside your other booking data. Set those up under Integrations rather than pasting scripts into page settings.

Archiving

Archiving retires a page and takes it out of your active list without deleting it. Prefer this to deleting when a campaign ends, so you keep the page and its history in case you want it back.

Deleting is permanent and breaks the URL immediately.
