Rather than building an event field by field, you can describe it in plain English and have SalesCal generate a first draft.
Go to Events and choose the AI option when creating a new event
Pick a form style: SmartFlow (guided, one question per screen, with a welcome screen and smart branching) or a standard multi-field booking form
Describe the call you want to book
Click Create Event with AI
Generation takes a few seconds. You'll then see a Review Generated Event screen where you can edit everything before the event is actually created.
The placeholder gives the shape:
30 minute discovery call for my consulting business
More detail produces a better draft. Useful things to include:
How long the call should be
What kind of business you run
Who you want to speak to, and who you don't
What you need to know before the call
Whether it's B2B
If your description is too short you'll be told to provide more detail. There's a Try an example option if you want to see a worked one first.
Event details — name, description, duration
Questions — a set of form fields with sensible types, using text areas for open-ended answers like challenges and goals
Qualification rules — which answers mark a prospect as qualified or disqualified
Business email requirement — for B2B calls, it can block free providers like Gmail, Yahoo, and Hotmail
SmartFlow settings — if you chose SmartFlow
The review screen exists because the draft is a starting point, not a finished event. Check:
The questions. Generated questions are reasonable but generic. Yours will be sharper.
The qualification rules. These decide who gets to book. Read them properly before accepting.
The duration. It defaults to whatever your description implied.
Once created, the event is a normal event. Everything can be edited in the builder afterwards, so nothing is locked in by using AI.
The event still needs the things AI can't know:
Your availability, if it differs from your default schedule
The meeting location (Zoom, Google Meet, phone, or custom)
Any CRM field mapping
Notification and reminder settings
If event creation fails, the AI service is usually unavailable or misconfigured. Nothing partial is saved. Try again, and if it keeps failing, build the event manually and get in touch.
